NEW EMG USER SETUP
On the users EMG login on the website, you would need to create an API key to link HealthWare and EMG.
In the user’s EMGuidance profile section, click the API keys tab and create one. Users should copy and paste this key onto their HealthWare profile, ask your Super/Facility Admin of HealthWare to assist, the key is only revealed in EMG at this point, so ensure it's copied before you save and close.
Then the user would need to create a webhook to allow information to pass in both directions
Click on the webhook of the Practice you created, we will send you a webhook URL to paste in the highlighted field below.
All user need to be authenticated to use EMG
The user can choose from their liking of authenticator apps, we recommend Google Authenticator, downloadable from the Play store. This is a required security measure for anybody creating scripts. Once the auth key is provided, a two hour timer begins, after which the user will be asked to enter the key again. Extra security measures include adding a self-made 6 digit pin through the user panel for any scripts created within the two hour window, after which the OTP validation will be required again, accessed by clicking this button on the top left of the interface: And security can be adjusted from this pane (Enhanced Security)
Once all the linking and authentication is out of the way, users are now ready to use the integration.
New patients need to be linked to EMG and therefore must have either an ID / Passport to verify the patient.
Select the patient you need to access go to Medication Script - EM Guidance Scripts.
Click Create / Link EMG Patient - this will send the ID/Passport to EMG to create a link between HealthWare and the EMG record.
Once the button is clicked it will establish and link and search for the patient in EMG
A pop up message will appear and the buttons will appear for creating a scipt
The below buttons will now appear, to create a script, click on New EMG Script.
When you select New EMG Script it will ask you to login with your EMG details
Once logged in, you are able to check the demographics that has passed to EMG by clicking on the icon at the top right.
Then the pencil icon at the top right
Once the patient details has been confirmed, you are ready to create scripts.
Complete the required details of the script
The user is able to add multiple medication by adding to the search function. It can either be saved as a template, discarded or preview & send.
This is where you would use the autheticator app like Google Authenticator for the OTP.
You will go back to your list of patients screen within EMG
Once you exit the EMG iFrame the script loaded in EMG will sync with HealthWare
The scripts created in EMG will be available to view within HealthWare for ease of reference.
