In this article we will walk you through the STAT and Time Critical scripting
STAT Scripts
When creating a medication script, you can mark it as urgent by selecting the STAT checkbox
Once you have issued a new prescription marked as STAT, a New Script will be created. The STAT prescription will be indicated by a red urgent icon displayed before the script status, and will also be reflected in the STAT column of the medication list on both the patient file and the All Scripts page.
The Pharmacist can change the New Script status to a New Wardstock script.
A red notification bubble will also appear on the main menu next to All Scripts to indicate STAT scripts that require processing
Once the script has been processed and is awaiting pickup by the nurse, it will continue to display the red urgent icon next to the script status. It will also appear in the STAT column of the medication list on both the patient file and the All Scripts page.
The nurse will also see a red notification bubble on the main menu next to “All Scripts,” indicating that there are STAT prescriptions that need to be collected
Once the medication has been collected, it will immediately appear on the Medication Rounds page, with a STAT marker displayed for the first dose.
Time Critical Medication
When processing a new script, the pharmacist can mark the medication as Time Critical by adjusting the slider. This indicates that the medication must be administered at the scheduled time and ensures that nursing staff are aware of its importance during dose administration.
When medication has been processed and marked as time critical, a clock icon will be displayed in the Time Critical column of the medication grid, visible in both the patient file and the All Scripts screen.
Once the medication has been collected, it will immediately appear on the Medication Rounds page, with a time-critical marker displayed at the top left of each scheduled dose indicator.
If multiple medications are scheduled to be administered at the same time, the total number of medications will be shown at the top right of each scheduled dose indicator.
For easy reference, a complete list of medication status icons can be accessed by clicking the (i) icon next to the date filter.
