Pain Scale Updates

Additional Pain Scores have been added for use on HealthWare, users have access to the following Pain Scores:

ESAS 18+ yrs old

VAS 8+ yrs old
NIPPS 0 - 1 yr old
FLACC 1 - 3 yrs old
FACES 3 - 17yrs old
ELAND 7 - 17 yrs old

The correct pain score type will populate onto HealthWare depending on the age of the patient.

For example: 

This patient's age is indicated as 42 years old

The scores available for his age is ESAS | VAS

The next patient's age is indicated as 10 years old

The scores available for her age is VAS | FACES | ELAND

ELAND and ESAS scores have an additional feature that the others do not, I will elaborate below:

ELAND SCORE

For ELAND score, a body diagram that a child coloured in to indicate where it hurts, or where they have pain can be uploaded and the image will match.

Once Upload Completed Diagram is clicked, users can either select to add the file from their device (Downloads folder) or Camera to take a direct picture of the diagram.

Once the diagram is selected for upload, click Done

The selected diagram will upload onto the score chart

Users can select the corresponding pain level with each colour indicated by the child as their level of pain.

Once complete, please scroll to the bottom and click Save

The diagram with save in the vitals signs grid with an attachment icon to indicate there is an image has been uploaded.

To view the attachments, users can hover over the attachment icon

If multiple pain scores are used, user can select which Pain Score should be visible on the grid

ESAS Score

This score works in the same way as the ELAND score above with the attachment of the diagram, except it does not have the colour tooltip.
