In this article we will cover to how record vital signs into Healthware
After logging into Healthware, kindly select the appropriate patient's name for whom you intend to document their vital signs.
Upon accessing the patient's file, proceed by clicking on the "Vital Signs" tab.
Upon accessing the vital signs screen, please identify and select the eye symbol. This action will provide you with a selection of vital signs on the top line. As you check or uncheck the boxes, the corresponding vital sign fields will be added to or removed from the historical chart.
For the purpose of illustration, I will utilize measurements related to temperature, pulse rate, and blood pressure. Prior to initiating the recording process, it is essential to ensure that the record button corresponding to each vital sign you intend to document is appropriately selected.
Initiate the recording process by selecting the plus sign icon.
Subsequent to clicking the plus icon, proceed to input the pertinent vital sign data into the corresponding fields.
Once this data is captured, navigate to the bottom of the screen and select the "Save" button in order to store the information. While scrolling downward, you will encounter four expandable fields, namely a pain scale, a urine dipstick, intake/output, and AVPU. These fields can be expanded by clicking the downward arrow located on the right-hand side.
Upon expanding the field, a pain scale represented by a range of colors, spanning from no pain to unbearable pain, will be displayed. You can indicate the appropriate level of pain by clicking on the corresponding colors provided. Subsequently, the system will automatically compute the corresponding value based on your selection.
Continuing to scroll down, you will find additional details pertaining to the pain scale, encompassing various aspects such as the pain site and extending to factors that alleviate the discomfort.
Following the pain scale, the next element is the urine dipstick section.
The information presented in Healthware aligns with the physical dipstick, simplifying the process for staff members. They only need to choose the corresponding colors within Healthware that match those on the actual dipstick, and Healthware will handle the remaining calculations and interpretations.
Let's proceed to the next step, where we will guide you through the intake and output information.
Finally, there is the AVPU assessment, after which you can proceed to click on the "Save" button.
You can verify the successful data saving by examining the date and time stamp.
