In the article we will cover how to link patient records
After logging into Healthware, initiate a member check or private check for the patient whose record needs to be linked. If an existing patient record is found in HealthWare the next process of member check is linking the records.
To proceed, navigate to the left-hand side menu and select "Load Patient."
When the Member Check screen appears, choose the "Medical Aid" or "Private" option, then enter the patient's ID number. Once the search results are displayed, identify the relevant record and select it by clicking the "Select" button aligned with the corresponding patient record.
After completing the patient member check, the Member Check Compare screen will appear. On this screen, you can select the data to be imported into the new record by ticking or unticking the respective fields. Once your selections are finalized, scroll down and click the "Accept Changes" button to confirm
After accepting the member check changes, the Record Link screen will open. Here, you can choose the admission from which you wish to copy information. Below this, you can specify the types of information to be copied into the new admission by ticking or unticking the boxes next to the relevant fields.
Once you have finalized your selections, click the "Add to Form" button located at the bottom of the screen to proceed.
Once the "Add to Form" button is clicked, the system will navigate to the Patient Details screen. Here, you can complete any missing information. When all details have been finalized, simply click the "Save and Exit" button to complete the process.
After the new admission is saved, you will be able to see the multiple admissions for that patient displaying on top of their record. You can access previous records by clicking in the appropriate admission.
