Enter the patient record you wish to generate a Medical Summary report.
The following fields populate into the report:
- Patient Details
All patient details including Clinical contact up to next of kin details

- Specialist referral
Acute and Chronic diagnosis (ICD10 codes)

Clinical Assessment
To complete any of the sub headings 1 - 4 under Clinical Assessment, click 'Edit Arrival Assessment'

- Clinical Assessment - Medical Assessment
All fields under Medical Assessment will populate into the report if completed

New field added within Medical Assessment
Once Smoking/Alcohol use is selected more fields will open to complete to your right.

- Clinical Assessment - Allied Assessment
Scroll to the bottom of the Allied Assessment screen to the Diet section, the marked fields will populate into the report if completed

- Clinical Assessment - Clinical Scores
The most recent Karnofsky and ECOG score entered will automatically be added into the report
To add a score, click the + sign to add and select the score you would like to enter from the list.

- Vital Signs
The most recent added basic vital signs and pain scale (including the additional comments added in the pain scale record) will generate into the report
- Rehabilitation Plan
All Clinician categories marked
Within each of the marked clinician categories, the fields from Clinical Summary to Current Progress Summary
- Medication
There are 2 places where medication will pull through into the report
1. Clinical Assessment | Medical Assessment
Scroll down on the Medical Assessment screen, towards the bottom left, a field where the medication can be listed.
2. Medication Scripts
In the Medication Scripts screen, medication can be added via an E-script by clicking 'Add New Script', only medication with the New Script, Low Stock or Active statuses will populate into the report, if the medication has been discontinued, and no longer need to be included, on the left under status, double click in the medication block to change the status of the medication.
The report will first look for medication listed in the Medication Scripts (2) screen and if this is blank it will then list the medication in the Clinical Assessment | Medical Assessment medication field (1).
You are now ready to generate your Medical Summary Report. Only the completed sections will generate, blank sections listed above will be ignored.
Go to Clinical Assessment - Click the drop down 'Generate Reports', select 'Medical Summary Report'

The below modal will open, you can select a record of vital signs, if no vital signs record, you can select 'Generate Report'
Give it a few seconds to allow HealthWare to collate the different sections within your report, a preview screen will appear. You are able to scroll through to view the final product, if you have missed something, you can go back and complete or edit the required section. Once you're happy with the preview, click 'Looks Good Continue'
The name of the user who generated the report will appear on the top right.
The following options will appear in the final step
Once complete, click close.
Each time an option is selected, that version of the report is saved under the + sign 'General Notes' pane, date and time stamped for the user to refer back to when required.
